Love Grass Flower (Eragrostis) by

This species grows wild in Bayou George, FL and all over the panhandle in very poor sandy soil. The stems rise from the center stalk and are very fine. The bud and subsequent seed is about 2mm long, and the flower is nothing more than a minute dark red spot on the stems.
