Also known as Penstemon digitalis, it belongs to the Figwort family.
This particular plant grows in a sand scrub field in Bayou George, Fl in the panhandle. It also grows in open woods, reaching a height of 2-4 feet. The inch long flowers here are pure white, but may also be tinted with purple.
It blooms in July and August and is native to the southeast.I have seen it growing only in one field within three miles from my home. Northwest Florida in Bayou George.
