Artist's Description

This is Sushi’s half brother. Where Sushi is the epitome of elegance and grace, Pearl is his 180. Pearl is clumsy, crazy, funny and cat personified.
And very, very funny. When something falls in the kitchen, Pearl has knocked it over. When the waste baskets are tumbled and the contents scattered, Pearl’s done it. When the toilet paper is unrolled through the rooms, Pearl did that, too. If there’s a fluffy cat spread-eagled and hanging on the porch wire – why ask? That’s Pearl!

He also has a fascination with water, which might be explained away because they had fleas so bad I had to bathe them every couple of days in the beginning.

Pearl is Sushi’s half-brother, so named because his little feet were the color of my long gray pearls. A friend says his name should be Bucket.

He lounges in HIS chair every day and watches the lizards, birds and squirrels. A neighbor gave me that chair – she is elderly and didn’t know what it was in the stuff sack. I told the company, Lucky Bums, the story, and gave permission to use the photo.
