Your gift kissed so lightly
Despite oceans you see of tranquility
In me and so you fill me like humility
Saw into me; cut through me permeability
And I found you hide and seek invisibility
From my eyes which knew you through instability
and protected you through vulnerability
In all the chaos you were sensibility
Fitting in even when I struggled with compatibility
I put faith in you and it challenged my ability
To take the lie of out believability
What are we but chances?
So speak to me of probability
Because I find it silly after such durability
I hear screaming feelings that burn through our home
As I curse my own flammability
How could you say what we have isn’t that special?
When two days ago we depended on each other’s reliability
And just yesterday we dreamt of the possibility
Of inseparability
Now it seems as though those shattered hopes will be swept up in futility
Left again to pick up the pieces of a broken glass fragility

were to count to ten, or take some good breathe spaces,
a lot of petty troubles wouldn’t occur – tolerance
wins every time, with good results;
nobody needs to be the winner
in misunderstandings, there’s no fun in winning.
How quickly the sweet stuff is lost without tolerance and respect.
How quickly the ego will react on defensive.
There is a need in the world to see the other person for
who they are,
not what they are -
then we continue to see what we love in them.

Love is very fragile if we don’t work at making it stronger each day. It takes two to make it strong and just one to make it weak and easily breakable. A message to take to heart.
