Oh… wow… this is so inspiring. And, so true. We forget, I think, that we have so much to give and offer that doesn’t have to with ‘things’.... that deep inside of us there is a hero. Such a great poem on self-sacrifice and how a moment of that can change one’s life and those they’ve touched. Awesome read.

This is so beautiful and with such a beautiful message. I could literally see both of them singing, one out of gratitude for that stranger and for the fact because of him she is still living, and the other because he knows that there is a life still living and because it was him who was able to give unselfishly that gift of a second chance in life to that girl, even if it meant that he could have lost his life in doing so. There is that satisfaction when you give from the heart and see the joy of gratitude and the surprise of the party receiving your gift. I sing with both of you Shoaib for this beautiful story. Iris

I started reading this with a huge smile, the first line is brilliant and sets a scene, as I read through the smile disappears, a now a more serious, thoughtful and concerned face appears…. the ending is wonderful and sooooo true…. Loved it…. xx

I love your poem. I am so glad many friends here have read it. Among other things It makes me remember that my father who died in 2005 saved a man from a burning car when I was a child in the ‘fifties.

if people would only think about how one unselfish act a day would make them feel they would be more conscious of there world around them, and it would make our world so much more peaceful,, being unselfish gives us wings to soar. it makes ones heart swell and crave for more,, this is a beautiful write, a fav. for me, peace and love to you my friend,, linmarie
