Original acrylic painting on canvas (4ft x 4ft). When my husband and I went scuba diving in Pulau Sipadan, Malaysia, we were lucky enough to see the barracuda shoaling right in front of us – a spectacular sight to behold for anyone. This painting comes from memories, photos and a love of colour (especially blue!).
i like this a lot.. thought it was a photo at first but nothing beats a real painting.. reminds me of diving off Corsica. I like the simple way you managed to capture the patterns of light breaking through the water with blocks of colour.
Thanks everyone – this is the start of a new series, so it’s good to get some feedback of a positive nature. Makes me feel like I am not heading down the wrong path!

How beautiful! I’ve dived through shoals of barracuda too…quite fierce-looking some of them!
