This was not the location i originally intended to shoot on this morning. I had hoped to shoot at Merewether Baths, unfortunately when i arrived it was only 3/4 full. Plan B was to then shoot the Canoe Pool in Newcastle. Unfortunately the wind was howling through and any effort was in vain due to the sea spray covering the filters within seconds. Becoming desperate i walked over to the other side of Newcastle Baths looking for protection from the wind. I was actually mid way through a long exposure facing towards Nobby’s when the sun popped through for the first time. I cut that shot right there and then and ran down to the Pump house. Protected from the wind and an incredible sunrise unveiling before me, i was so excited. My Niece thought i was a nut job, but i can live with that …….. :-)
This is a crop from a single frame, i did rattle off some pano frames shortly after this image. They are in bracketed frames for HDR, i have processed them and although i am not that great with HDr i quite like the result. I will post that image up soon.
Thanks for taking a look, your comments are very much appreciated :-)
