Sydney Harbour Bridge – Sydney Harbour – NSW – Australia

This was taken from the balcony of the unit Shannon was staying in during our visit to Sydney in April. Not a bad vantage point is it. Could imagine sitting here for New Years.

I downloaded a trial of Nik Software Silver Effex, and thought this would make a great image to play with. It’s a great plug in, although I’m not sure how much use i would get out of it.

Just finished watching Origin I ………… the blues were ripped. Terrible :-(

Yeah it was a Mighty View wasn’t it Max and I agree mate, would be damn awesome for New Years Eve, it was a brilliant trip mate and now we got our New Cameras, I think we need to make our way back there hehe. Awesome work mate :)

  • We will definitely be heading back mate, as soon as i get back from NZ early next month i will start keeping an eye out for cheap airfares. We have some unfinished business there :-)

I was trying to figure out the off BW, not sepia, could not put my finger on it, but it works so well here, it takes away a volume down of the dark, giving it a comfortable feel. Then I read! Excellent all together, and a bit unusual. :)

  • Glad you like it Angelika. The Silver Effex software has a great range of tonalities and contrasts. Couldn’t decide between a few different versions, in the end my wife chose this one. I think she got it right too. Appreciate your comment, cheers :-)

I like it (I’ve always liked the bridge in bw though).. Awesome pano… And I agree with you re the Origin… Absolutely ripped off……

  • Thank you Sharon. I love the bridge in B&W as well. It has such a cool presence as a structure, and the tones really do it justice. Still can’t believe that rubbish that was served up by the ref last night. Ah well …….. bring on game 2 :-)

It works so well in black and white! Fabulous image.

And, yeah… that QLD “try” was a bit iffy, wasn’t it.

  • It was a horrendous decision Donna. I have spent the day up here copping it from everyone :-)
Glad you like the pic. Cheers :-)
