Mona Vale – Sydney – NSW – Australia

Canon EOS 450D – Canon EF-S Lens 15-85mm

Another from my recent trip to Sydney, where i caught up with fellow Bubbler Snannon Rogers . Not only is Shannon an incredible photographer, but he is also a great bloke. That being said, be wary of the stories that he may tell in the descriptions in some of his images. He may choose to tell you that i took a involuntary swim at this very location ………… untrue. Did not happen, without any images to back his story up, who are you going to believe. He says that he couldn’t get a snap of it due to having his “wide angle lens on”. Well i have seen his wide angle lens, it would fit most of the coastline on it, so how did it not record this so called incident.

Anyway, i have wanted to do a shot like this for some time now, the silhouette of fisherman with the sky seemingly engulfing them. Couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity with these conditions. This is a cropped version of the original, i felt it gave a better perspective this way.
BTW …….. these guys were actually catching fish, big ones in fact. In total they caught 5 Bronze Whaler sharks between them while we were there. I think Shannon got some images of them.

Hope you like this one …….

A fantastic sight with beautiful, rich, vibrant colours, Superbly captured, Max!!! The thing we have to go through to get a good pic (or so some would say)

  • Many thanks for your kind words Phil. Your feedback is truly valued. Sometimes we get rewarded for the lengths we go to for our pics. I may or may not have gone to great lengths here :-)
