Brighton Beach – Melbourne – Victoria – Australia

Canon EOS 450D / Canon EF-S Lens 15-85mm

“We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian”

Taken only a couple hours prior to Mentone Moment , this is the main reason for me staying in the area. Before heading down to Victoria, i had a few shots in mind, and this was the top of the list for me. Being a very Proud Australian, i love this country and anything that symbolizes it. Although the beach huts aren’t very Australian, this one is undeniably a symbol of this countries love of that Flag and it’s colours.
Just might build one in the back yard ………

It’s a massive 10 shot long exposure panorama. Taken on a Nodal Ninja in Portrait Frames.
It was taken during sunrise, so the little bit of glow above the huts is the orange glow of the sun. The Black & White conversion and Selective colour was done in PS CS5.
Levels / Curves / Unsharp / Denoise adjustments made.

Brilliant piece of work Maxwell. I took some shots at this location a couple of days ago… after living in Melbourne for 11 years, I thought it was about time I made the trip to Brighton, lol. Haven’t even got them onto my pc yet, hopefully there will be some good ones in there when I get around to them :))

  • Thank you very much Kris. I loved this spot, enjoyed having it to myself for a while. Look forward to seeing your pic, i am sure it will be a stunner. I appreciate you taking a look :-)
