Caloundra, Sunshine Coast. Queensland, Australia
New Years Morning. A little later than sunrise.
My wife and i travelled up to the Sunshine Coast on New Years Eve. The plan was to get some sunset shots and then jump up early and get the first sunrise of the year.
So we threw the spare mattress into the back of the Toyota Rav and headed up the coast. Sunset was a bit of a non event due to it mostly raining. Late evening lead us to Caloundra to stop for the night, so that i could get some pics of Dicky.
When we arrived, we set up for our dining experience in “Hotel Rav” , flipped a dvd into the laptop and settled into a cozy way to bring in the New Year.
“Hotel Rav” wake up call had me out of bed at 3:45am and i wandered down to a deserted beach and enjoyed the company of a few other early snappers, and a couple of new year revelers still struggling on.
This one i took while the sun was a little higher in the sky, most of the reds and yellows had disappeared by now, but there was an amazing light being thrown across the wreck. My favorite from the mornings shots. Hope you like :-)
