Moon Rise by Maxwell Campbell

Taken at Cabarita Beach NSW, at around 5:45pm today 14th July 2011.

I was concentrating on the Sunset and getting the settings right, comp right. But it just wasn’t coming together for me. I dropped the Shutter remote and as i bent down to pick it up , i noticed the moon rising behind me.
You have never seen someone clammer for their gear as quick, must have been funny to see actually.

I love when someone shares their story with their pic! its the cherry on top of a Beautiful piece of art!! nice work! Had I been there I would have laughed , but you would have also laughed at me as we fought for the best spot and angle..I bet we both would have landed in the drink! lol!

  • lol……Thanks for your comment sono. A very good chance that we would have ended up in the drink, that foreground rock actually slid down into the water quite sharply from beneath where i was set up. Providing the camera stayed dried i could still see the funny side of that as well. Cheers mate.

Lovely work Max,,its different. I always swivel the camera around for a different shot cas ya never know,,and I only use the cord remote now and I have it attached to my tripod with elastic.

  • Thanks very much Dale, quite stoked that you like it mate. I definitely have to get a cord remote. Might have to put a cord on the mobile phone to :-)
