Somebody remarked that I hadn’t put up any lighting tips lately…so I thought I would use this image to demonstrate the use of a a large softbox and a black bounce reflector combination.
To the left of Holly and Becky I have placed a large 1m x 1m softbox aimed at the models at approx 45 degrees…this was metered at f8. The the right at 90 degree I have place one of my own designed full length black bounces. The effect of the black reflector can be seen by how the light spill is killed on the side of Holly, creating the definition.
In order to lighten the backdrop I have a 15 degree honeycomb flash head set at f5.6 aimed ay the background. This was set behind the black bounce so no light would spill back onto Holly profile.
So there you have it another simple set-up to try out from MaxO! Unfortunately you’l have to find your own Holly and Becky LOL
