Just thought that I hadn’t put up any lighting tips lately so here goes…This shot was taken with just one 20 degree honeycomb grid set high to the left of Kirsty…to the right as close as I could get out of shot…I placed a small 1ft x 1ft square of reflective silver material on a stand aimed back at her head. The flash was set at f8 at her hair and the reflecter gave a reading of f5.6…I set the camera to f5.6.
Kirsty is a friend who wanted some portraits to further her acting career. She is also to appear on the forthcoming UK “X factor” programme, where she got on well with Simon Cowell! P.s. she’s got blue hair….
Canon: 1/125 ISO 100, f5.6, lens at 70mm
