Hi all…yet another classic lighting set-up using three lights. A lot of kits come with 3 lights as standard…these usually include a softbox, and honycombs are not that an expensive addition!
If you look at the image you will now recognise the large 1.2m softbox to the right of Kiera…this was set to meter on her at f11.
Kiera is sitting on a table top and behind her on the floor is a honeycomb flash head aimed at the background…set to create the circle of light behind her head and metered at f16…one stop brighter than the main light.
Set high to the left is another honeycomb flash head aimed at her head and shoulder to create a hair light. This was set at f13…brighter than the main softbox because her hair is black and will absorb the light.
Canon Camera was set at f11, 1/200, ISO 100, lens set at 50mm
