Not Happy!

Just been informed by RB that they have taken down 5 of my images due to objections from a viewer… all these were marked not suitable for the work place/mature content and also have been on the site for over 4 years. All I can think is that whoever is objecting has a vendetta against my work.

www.maxoperandi.com

I have now managed to direct all my names to one site… so whether you type www.maxoperandi.com or www.maxoperandi.co.uk it all goes to the same site. This keeps it a lot more simple.

I will be putting up lighting tutorials from my talk to The Royal Photographic Society soon and I have also put up all the images from my recent exhibition for SES a satellite company based in the Isle of Man. The exhibtion proved a great success and will soon be exhibited in Europe.

New Website

I have taken all my most viewed images and some new popular images and posted them all on one website… and for the first time you can buy direct from MaxO himself. Each artwork will have a signed label of authenticity. All images are available in archival prints or canvass and can be sent worldwide.

Let me know what you think…and any eagle eyed spell checkers comments will be gratefully recieved.

Work on iphones, ipads, smart phones and tablets too!

cheers MaxO

Another Million Milestone!

Just had a look at my “Manage Works Page” and it seems that sometime over the weekend I clocked up over 3 million views on my work.…

I would just like to say a million thanks to all the people that have supported me over the last 3 years. Redbubble has changed quite a bit in that time and we have all had our grumbles about the many changes of interface and that it doesn’t seem to be the artists club that it was….I do know that according to views on images…where I used to get perhaps 5000 views of an image 2 years ago, since the various changes I am lucky to get 500. Now you could say that is down to the image, but I feel that my work has technically got better over that time frame.

Anyway one piece of news that through my work on RB I have been invited to give a days lecture on “Lighting

RB front page...or FOUND as they call it!

Well I suppose there is a first time for everything…as most of you know I am better known for my Nude images and I always new that my work would not likely be ever featured on the RB home page or as they call it these days the “Found Page”.

So I was very surprised to see that after 5 years, RB had featured my portrait “Eye Contact” of Integra (24th February) …and yes I do have the satisfaction that she is in the nude behind that chair…lol

It is funny that they chose this one out of the 1029 images that I have on this site…then again I am very greatful for the exposure.

Unique Deck Chairs

Just thought I would put up this little advertisement for our printed deck chairs which is something Redbubble don’t do at the moment! They are proving quite popular in the UK this Summer as they are fully waterproof!!…

We produce them from artwork, photographs and digital images supplied by you. They are very hard wearing and durable – the frames are made with sustainable Merpauh wood treated with teak oil which provides excellent protection against the elements and wear, extends the working life, and the fine finish enhances the natural appearance.

The canvas is a very hard wearing poly/cotton mixture and printed using state-of-the-art dye-sublimation technology. And quantity is not a problem either…. anything from 1-1000 and quality is assured as we produce them for all the Royal Parks

T O T S... Ally Leslie, October 1966 - April 2012.

This is dedicated to our wonderful friend Ally Lesley …. Texture of the Sin …who passed away peacefully after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer… her advice, humor, encouragement and beautiful images have proved a source of inspiration not only to me, but to all on Redbubble.…

This is a poem of comfort that I find helps at times like this:

MY LAW

As dew is drawn upwards, in rain to descend
Your thoughts drift away and in Destiny blend.
You cannot escape them, for petty or great,
Or evil or noble, they fashion your Fate.

Somewhere on some planet, sometime and somehow
You will reflect your thoughts of your Now.
My Law is unerring, no blood can atone-
The structure you built you will live in – alone.
Your lives with your longings will ever keep pace
And all that you ask for, and all you desire
