Ring the bell

Ring the bell
I killed my love

That golden voice
will never sing again
nor whisper tender words to me

Ring the bell
I killed my love

Falling rain bedews
those once so sparkling eyes
still looking in surprise at me
Never my flame will burn again
the stars are doused
sun won’t shine for me

Ring the bell
I killed my love

Into darkness now I turn
say goodbye to sanity
never I’ll feel warm again
At my hands I gape
on my tears I choke
the blood I wash away

My journey now begins
a search for the just departed soul
to save me from my own hell

I murdered love…
Now ring the bell

Words of a lost soul wandering through his own darkness for centuries

I felt this was like an old soul telling the story of the greatest love that now has fallen into the well of time……..I so enjoyed the imagery I found in this wonderful verse of yours X

  • Oooooh, thanks a whole bunch!
And you are right – it is the story of an old soul and his love.
But he found him again a while ago. :)
