Every early morning
I wander down my winding garden path
The morning paper sits patiently
Dew drops dripping from the corners

Wednesday is slowly waking up
And behind my grandma’s big old oak tree
Lies the world… lukewarm

I look up at the skies…
And there it is –
An apportionment of miracle looking down at me

Clouds… pink and white
Perfect against the light blue skies

And in the small silence of a new day
My inner strength bestowed on me

Well my friend a lovely little poem from your heart.
    Quite nice.
And for a first thats super!
You will do more I am sure!
As sure as the sun will shine tomorrow in Africa.

  • Actually this poem was from my mom’s heart. She wrote it in Afrikaans and I liked it, so I translated it. My mom’s poems are generally feel-good-poems, mine on the other hand, well – as you said yourself – I will do more, I did one this morning, and yes – the sun is indeed shining today. Thanks for your comment David – it’s kind of you.
