Morning came and there I was faced with lonely thoughts.
Faced with thoughts of where I was in life’s changing hues.
Faced with my reality as morning kissed the sea.
As I looked out, far out, as waves rolled in again.
I watched the waves touch the shore
and thought they dance well together.
And then I laughed at that silly thought.
Like life’s little twist and turns never perfect.
But at times so sublime in its uncertainty
you know when you been blessed.
And I faced with the silver sea look out and realize.
It’s never new and never old it simply is a changing force.
Its life pure and wild in its uncertainty.
As I run I watch my thoughts match the raging sea I smile in my loneliness.
I smile at these thoughts that bind me to the earth.
Afraid to reach beyond the unknown safe in my reality.
And here is where I meet my fear as the waves roll in.
Unknown to me what lies beyond the silver of the sea.
I watch with baited breath as each new wave rolls in.
Fearless in my reality that I am safe on shore.
But deep in fear of what’s beyond my feeble mind as I watch the sea.
I smile again at this thought its been the fear of man.
Its been the food that drives us on the fear of what ’s unknown.
I watch as waves roll in again they match my churning mind.
And here is where I watch fear drive me on.
Just like the sea and shore we dance so well together

And like the waste found on the shore the gulls found treasure there.
As men walked off with pearls that shine while none would feed the starving.

  • So are you David – a blessing… thank you for your beautiful words – they mean a lot to me.
