Artist's Description

Her name was Emily…

One of the biggest enemies Kitchener ever had,
Was a young lady that pointed him out as one that was bad,
“You are a murderer, Kitchener!
And that is very sad…”
But he only turned his back to her
And claimed that she was a rebel, liar, enemy of the nation, and also mad…
Her name was Emily…

The young woman was an English activist
(and by the way, there was not many of them on the list)
She spend six months from January to June 1901
Visiting woman and children in the winter cold and heating sun
Her name was Emily…

She gave up everything she owned
Left England with boxes and boxes provisions
Realize that it was not enough
For the state in the camps was very rough
“Please, I need some help!”
Was her plead to so many healthy men
“We must send some food and medicine,
To this poor woman and children!”
But all of them faded away
She was the only one to help, until this day
Her name was Emily…
