Another one of the oceans little treasures that has eluded me for some time,this is a Mandarin Fish from the Dragonet family(Synchiropus splendidus) & I could hardly contain myself when i found this little fella.This is a male which was about 5cm & is fully grown.They are very secretive living in small families amongst broken coral in still coastal zones.Image taken in Alor,Indonesia

I just got back from a Philppine dive holiday and we saw these fish mating on a dusk dive. They are so full of personality! Awesome shot!
