Close up shot of some species of Anemone taken in Alor,indonesia.This particular dive consisted entirely of Anemones & their dependants.Slow descending wall which I drifted alone for one hour & literally tens of thousands of them,have never seen anything like it in my life.Apparently the locals eat them when they are hungry enough

    Looking at this picture is like looking at a cloud formation – everyone sees something different (looks like an aerial view of blown glass vases on transparent shelves to me). Great capture!

    I wasent super keen to try them,apparently they were cooked up one evening at the resort we stayed at,I heard they wernt the most popular menu item,thanks for your comment Marie

    Thanks Sherry,yeah a variation on the ones you might find Nemos in,sometimes smaller anemone fish inhabit this species

    ok…knowing what a wimpy computer i have…i’m deadly curious about what that tiny red dot is on the top of the one near the right side? anemones are just amazing…as a child when i got to visit scripts university in california my fascination began…and never ended even when we moved to the central part of the us…no oceans here? but thank god for u and others like u who can photograph for people like me the wonders like this
