Poetic Sustenance
Once again, I’m thankful to the writers of redbubble who feed my creative appetite, I like to think that to some extent we feed each other.
Poetic Sustenance belongs to the following groups:

The way your voice reached out
I didn’t even know there was a need
But you touched me with your longing
And left me little doubt
An appetite once dull
Now needs a feed
Sometimes you serve it salty
then at other times it’s sweet
A little spice in something that you said
you tenderise with metaphor
Your words become my meat
Pour it on me,
Let me be your bread
Eloquent desert you served
With truth and love and signs
Bare handed now I eat without a fork
And to gather every morsel
I licked between your lines
Your voice tastes fine
your wine now has no cork
Then I see other diners
As they gather here to feed
longing for a share of your next plate
My jealousy is hard to hide
You stimulate my greed
I want it all
This hunger’s hard to sate
I drink creative juices
As they flow like mead from you
Intoxicated now I’m sure you see
But then I take a closer look
And see you sip it too
Creative juice now flows
