I got out of bed before sparrows fart today hoping there would be a bit of colour in the sunrise at Turrimetta Beach, but alas there was none :-( I took some bleak looking shots and I quite like this one of the old man in the rock, I’ve photographed him before but I was never happy with the result

He looks like he knows what is going on…..the sky reaches down to touch the sea…

    Stunning, Matt x

  • Thanks Lisa, I don’t know how long he’s been there but he’s just part of the rock now :-) x

ahh the joy of sparrow’s farting……:) great shot Matt… it looks kind of prehistoric….. and I love it in black and white……

  • Thanks Juilee, it does look prehistoric, The black and white covers a multitude of sins, (with such a long exposure the Cokin ND Grad gives the top of the image a purplish tint :-)

Love the framing here matt, and the colour doesn’t matter when you’ve captured such amazing textures! Love the slow water against those rocks!

  • Thanks Mate, this was another recon mission. This might be a good beach to go to in the daytime with the “black glass”, the tide was fairly high and I was knee deep in the water :-)
