Mate that’s awesome!
Thanks Mel, you inspire me to do these sort of shots :-)
The expression you have captured already tells a story to me about this man to me…one has this feeling that he would be so very interesting to have a long chat with. Oh and I love his hair…looks like clouds but I strongly suspect this man has not had his head in the clouds, he has really lived …. This would look amazing as a huge print me thinks… X
Thanks Karen, yes he is a remarkable man, and as you’ve picked up from the image, a very interesting man too.
Happy birthday to you for today :-) x
What a marvelous portrait – a face that commands attention, a face with so much character and the camera settings you used so marvelously bring out all of that. He could tell a few tales I’m sure – but there is also something of a sparkle, a humor about him that says we’d be up all night listening once he got started!! Matt this is just so fine!!
Lianne, I’m pleased you see so much of his character in this image, he’d keep you interested alright, but he’s also a great listener. Thanks so much :-)
Amazing capture, for me this image conveys more than the central self it captures all that has surrounded this man.
I truly am in awe and mesmerised.
Wow, thanks Lisa, I’m really pleased with this one too, the lens blur somehow adds that other dimension :-)
A very strong face – lots of stories there
Thanks Shuilie, yes many stories indeed :-)
A fabulous character shot Matt
Thank you Del, very much appreciated :-)
Beautifully done Matt!
Thanks so much Robert :-)
I’m liking these things you’ve been doing lately, It’s a great portrait Matt !
Thanks Lisa, it is amazing what that bendy lens can do :-) x
Fantastic focus on the face Matt. Quite a brilliant shot this one! xxx
Thanks Paula, much appreciated :-) x
Interesting how these odd lenses work such a treat on the portrait, in skilled hands, of course… Nice one this.
Thank you Dick, it really is fun to play with low tech bendy lenses, and as you say they really do suit the portrait :-)
