Thanks Helen, I set the white balance by shooting lush green grass in bright sunshine. This is virtually straight out of the camera with just a slight increase in saturation and contrast

LOL, I suppose I should have said catamarans but it surprised you so that’s a good thing. I haven’t been able to do much good with manipulated shots, I try to follow Naomi Frost’s tutorial but I can never seem to get those lovely blues that she achieves. Oh well, I’ll keep trying, thanks Danielle :-)

Thanks Mel, I’m sure I just need to put the time in and practice a bit and one day I’ll figure it out. This is the same camera and filter that Naomi has done her fabulous IR images on and she gets those blues like no one else. Grrrr I have those ones of the satellite dishes to do something with, I’m tempted to send you the raw IR shot to see if you can make it look good LOL My PS skills are pretty primitive.

I did have the custom white balance set on lush green grass in the middle of the day, but it just doesn’t seem to get the results I’d hoped for. if I figure it out I’ll be sure to let you know :-)

Thanks so much Simone, I’ve tried to follow Naomi’s tutorial but there is something about her magic touch that makes her blues so blue and her foliage so white, it just doesn’t seem to work like that when I do it LOL, I will have to keep trying though :-)
