Ghostly Twins
On returning from a shoot with the veil of winter soon approaching the highland in NSW, I caught a glimpse of this scene off a dirt track. I did a U-turn and unpacked and shot off a roll of 220. (8 shots in total).
When I got my film back from the lab I was amazed at the impact this image had. When I have this shot on display people frequently ask me if it is a painting.

Cool shot. Love the contrast of the bark against the blue-greys of the mist. Very cool

very moody composition Matt. the textures and colours in the old eucs and their bark is sublime…

Thanks Tony… using velvia film and also using a polariser to cut the shine on everything from the wet makes all the difference.

This is insane, I’m jealous… Love the contrasting colors, the low point of view and the way it has so much stilness and tention in it…all in the same time.
