Artist's Description

Digital Painting.
Something for the kids.
It took all my self control not to put a monster in this painting.
The scene is a part of the world I am fleshing out in an ongoing series of paintings:
A small poor commune of armadillos being visited by the local postman who is everybody’s friend.

The painting’s a small homage to back in the day where things were more personal, milk was delivered by a milkman and everybody knew their postman.
It was inspired by my trip to Cuba where I saw the poverty and yet happy sense of community the people had. I like armadillos. :)

Note: I am aware children’s illustrations do not like smoking in the pictures. If ever used obviously I would paint over it. Silly PC world we live in.
EDIT * smoking armadillo has been taken out
