Ramo III Piave, Venice, Italy by

Venice in winter is so atmospheric, even (particularly?) when the weather is cold and grey.

Ramo III Piave is at the north of Venice – our waterbus from Venice airport dropped us at the Madonna dell’Orto stop on the Canale delle Fondamente Nuove. We then walked through this area to get to our hotel in the Cannaregio. It was dark and misty when we arrived and I thought this would be a great area to shoot on film.

Taken on my new GF670, 6 × 6 cm 120 roll film (Ilford HP5)

Wonderful shot. It is nice to see that folding cameras are still being made; with results like this it is understandable.

Many thanks James, glad you like it. I really enjoyed taking these shots; the camera was quite an investment so I was pleased to get some good results.
