I recently received an interesting email from one of my Twitter follower/followees. They’d seen a comment and come along to my RedBubble profile – they quite liked my style of photograph and would I be interested in doing some promotional shots for them.
A brief exchange of emails and a couple of telephone conversations later and I’m off shooting on behalf of Visit Worcestershire. This is a local organisation promoting the county throughout the country and through their web site, around the world.
So far I’ve actively photographed for them on three occasions and I’m hoping that some of the shots make their promotional material next year and their new web site later this year.
The most exciting ‘assignment’ was on Saturday, when I went to the West Midlands Safari Park and spent a day in the company of the Director of Wildlife (great title) Bob Lawrence. This was a great privilege and included being driven the wrong way around the park, onto the grassy areas, and even let out of the vehicle so we could shoot the animals up close and personal.
I’ve uploaded a few of the 1400 or so photos I took during the day, I hope they will wet your appetite to visit the park if you are ever passing through Bewdley.
