such a powerful composition using line as an emotive powerhouse of a tool…..says so much and causes the imagination to wander into so many a place or indeed ‘room’…. great drawing Matt …this to me is sublime. thank you
Thank you so much Loui. It is often the pieces like this one that I find the most rewarding to work on, presenting a sense of mood and emotion, but without any strict definition. It leaves the work open for the viewer to make of it what they will. I’m glad you appreciate that :-)
Loui said it very eloquently……..really “sublime”…
Thanks a lot. I’m working on a series of similar images, no real plans for them just yet, just going to see where they take me :-)
Possibly one of the creepiest things I’ve seen from you, but admittedly the title has a lot to do with it ;)
I’ve got The Room #2 and The Room #3 already finished, working on #4 a little bit today. All following a similar theme/mood. I like the vague approach of these things, offers a different level of interaction with the viewer than the more defined pieces.
Hmm, a different style and approach to your work, very interesting. I look forward to seeing the rest of the rooms and seeing how this mysterious set plays out.
Thanks man. I’m up to Room #17 at the moment. They’re something I do in brief moments of downtime between larger pieces.
