Introducing Scoop Neck Tees and Unisex Tanks — FIND OUT MORE

The second page in a new, weekly webcomic “LM2”

LM2 will be uploaded at RB (via art and journal entries) and also at www.matthewdunnartist.blogspot.com

All work is owned by me, Matthew Dunn, that’s right, and don’t you forget about it, or there’ll be trouble. Yes indeed.

It continues to amaze me the way LM continues to get weirder and weirder. That’s one of the things I love about it: it’s so unpredictable.
I love the aged paper showing in the panel borders :)
How long would this spread have taken to complete, beginning to end?

  • This page took me about 5 hours. During the week I scribble down layout ideas and notes, so when the weekend comes I’ve pretty much got the page worked out in my head and start drawing it from there. Mind you, what I end up drawing is usually completely different to the thumbnails, but having that starting point helps to get your mind into Comic-Mode :-)

  • Oh, and I just realised that I forgot to draw in the bandages around his wrists from the opening page hehehe looks like I’ll be doing some quick editing tomorrow morning to upload a corrected version :-)

I assume theirs a back story we’ll have to visit in you previous graphic novel. Is that still available?

  • Yeah, I’ve still got some copies from the first print run available at http://lonelymonsters.cartfly.com/lonelymonsters or you can bubblemail me if you’re interested. The first 3 panels of the first page pretty much tell you what you need to know tough. Zombies attacked, bombs were dropped, and here we are :-)

  • And I’m also reformatting it at the moment to make available on BLURB.

    oh i love the layout!

  • Thanks :-) It’s quite interesting working in the webcomic format, really different sensibilities to your standard comic book dimensions, good to know I’m getting it right hehe.

i just downloaded Manga Studio EX4 to aid me in constructing the layout and dialogue balloons for Geoff Spozetta’s comic ‘The balloon suited man’ and we also decided to self-publish through blurb!

  • That’s great, you’ll have to let me know when it’s up :-)

You should link your blogspot in the description. I want to go there but I have to go to the trouble of copying and pasting. Oh bother… :)

  • Good point, I’ll go back and fix those links up. eComics on RB would be a great idea btw :-)
