A juvenile Leafy Sea Dragon (Phycodurus Eques) under the deteriorating jetty at Rapid Bay, South Australia. Until you get used to it, its very difficult to spot the dragons amongst the weed. They can be regularly seen at a number of sites around Adelaide.

Fantastic Matt – very nice colors
amazing capture
great shot, looks like it was a nice day down there
Cheers guys! We were very lucky actually, we were camping nearby and the weather and been pretty rough for a few days, so we didn’t get a chance to dive. Finally the wind dropped off and we managed to get in the water before heading back to Adelaide. Somehow the visibility was the best I’ve seen down there!
Wonderful capture. Love the colors.
Beautiful shot bud, have never had the pleasure to see one of these guys underwater, its on the agenda though, cheers
Great shot Matt
What a wonderful photo well done
Thanks for the comments everyone. Matt, if you’re ever in Adelaide send me a BubbleMail and we can line up a few dives to find them!
Will take you up on that some day, cheers mate
