Well, I just returned from a week in Cuba as you can see by my pictures. The beaches were lovely and stretched on forever, the people were friendly and relaxed and it did us good as North Americans to soak up a bit of that unrushed attitude. I have mixed feelings about staying at a resort so unrelated to the culture around it, but the goal was not a cultural experience nor a humanitarian vent…

We are experiencing the winter of a lifetime here in Canada! More snow than you care to imagine, and the white stuff comes down in quantity every week or two. I try to keep up with shoveling my front stairs, but the pile where I dump the snow is about as high as I am! And we still have three more months of this! It makes for great black and white photographs, though, so I can’t complain too…

what makes it good?

Though I appreciate art in almost all its forms, I must say I am somewhat of a purist at heart. I love presenting photos exactly as they came from my camera (none of my photos have been messed with), I love my good old photos from negatives, though I have a bit of a problem scanning them at a high enough resolution for red bubble to reproduce, so they are just here for enjoyment.
