An afternoon walk along the beach at Low Hauxley nr Amble. Starting at the Low Hauxley nature reserve before making our way down to the beach. You can walk along the beach towards either Amble or towards the popwer stations/turbines at near Newbiggins. This stretch of beach had plenty of wildlife on show including a Bar-tailed Godwit, redshank, turnstone and more playful Sanderling (quickly becoming my favourite bird) Also saw some Red breasted merganser skimming across the waves.
