Looking back through my older photos of the Lake District. Taken two years ago when I spent nearly every season in the Lakes. It’s good to run through old pictures and look at them in new light.
A great collection from February when there was plenty of snow, lots of ice and good light. This was taken on a stunning day on Walla crag. Great moody sky and snow of the surrounding peaks. The muted browns and purples in the heather support the greys in the sky and the bleak blue tones in the water. These colours seem to give the overall shot a cold, wintery feel before you even look at the snow of the distant fells.
