Happy New Year!

A trip up to the Peak District to kickstart 2012. It was windy, cold, sunny and there was a dusting of snow at the summit. The walk started in Castleton, climbing to the summit of Mam Tor. Then turing along the ridge to Lose Hill before returning to Castleton. The light was dramatic and the ice/snow helped give the landscape further dimensions. We drove through a lot of snow further south in Monyash but surprisingly there wasn’t as much over these peaks, and non on Kinderscout!
