In 1968 Gil Scott Heron said the Revolution would not be Televised. Why? Partly because Nothing that really Said Anything would
ever get past the censors. A lot’s changed since 1968 but too much has stayed the same. Modern poetry has lost its way in that writers too often focus on introspection and self expression rather than the world around them. Everyone seems to have just given up. I’m hoping to help change that with my own poetry. I may not be Gil Scott Heron but both of my books, “Last American Roar” and “Organic Hotels”, are written in the spirit of the time and it’s safe to say they’re way too underground for mainstream broadcast or publishing. In 2003 I got kicked out of a coffee house for reading one of my poems. I hope you’ll check ’em out at lulu.com
A promotion for my book.
