The Departure by Matsumoto

Canvas Prints

I initially started this trip wanting to see Allen Ginsberg’s photographs at the National Gallery of Art here in Washington. On the way out I always keep to mind a little something that a friend from Germany once said.
“Most people have their heads pointed down and miss all the things that are up” So, after having searched for the usual butterflies, people and the occasional flora which caught my eye. I heeded her advice and raised my head towards the sky.

Ill bet you are pretty happy with this one Matsu. What an unusual and brilliant picture mate.

Somehow this picture makes me smile it sort of tickles me.

  • I’m very glad that it made you smile. I was sitting at the National Gallery of Art sculpture garden when I noticed the traffic from Reagen National Airport. I sat there taking pictures for passing tourist and waiting for a break in the rising water from the fountain in front me. About an hour later I got my shot.
