I get side tracked all the time when I’m out. I was going to stay indoors and had promised her that we would only be outside for as long as it took me to park the car and get inside where it’s warm…
That’s when I was confronted with the opportunity to photograph a Lotus!!!
There it was…sitting there waiting for me! I just knew that I had to hurry if the owner should show up early and drive away. So, after changing to my Zeiss 100mm makro ( as if I would use anything else) I started playing “speed bump” while my spouse directed traffic away from the idiot in the middle of the street with no regard to personal safety.
The owner did of course show up in the middle of the shoot and “packing heat”!!! (Must be nice being single)…

I was enroute to the Smithsonian when we came across this. I had promised the misses that we would only be out for as long as it would take to get out of the cold…“no such luck”. Two hours later we were still outside vying for time against the owner showing up and driving away and the temps already in the 20’s! I had just got in the house w/ the idea of posting just the prints when the idea of a calender pop’d in my head…but, did I have twelve useable images?
Anyway now she wants one! Geez!!! Thanks for the wonderful comments.
