Artist's Description

Surrealistic/expressionistic self portrait.

ZOMBIE – (Over Self’s shoulder) Self when depressed. Hollow, lifeless, can’t speak to others about my pain as my lips are stitched together. I have no eyes and therefore can not see when people attempt to help me.

GOBLIN – (Inside Self) This twisted and tortured cowering soul is the Self’s history. The inner child. Battered by the wrong doings of others. He latches onto the heart because he desperately wants to feel the love.

SELF – Stands tall and strong, willing to push on and nurtures the inner child, his history.

Charcoal and water colour paint on paper.
