i am fortunate to live right on top of mount dandenong in the temperate rainforests of southeastern australia.
the winter mists, mountain ash trees and the haunting mystery of the forests have inspired many of mys paintings. the ‘silvan series’ draws the viewer into the depths of the forest, with tantalising views of water and light beyond.
the work of renowned watercolorist, nita engel, has had a profound influence on me and her use of light in the landscape is a constant inspiration. in the past 3 years i have sold at least 100 works to private collectors and art lovers in new zealand, the usa, canada and australia. (by exhibitions and word of mouth mainly).
i love to experiment with paint, water and paper. i hope that there will be many more exciting things to come.
