This is really nice Tama, I see a couple of things in this piece of art that I really like, and you know artists see different things all the time, lol
I see the Tusk beeing cut off as well me from Germany and I can’t think of it, lol as those that Kill animals, you have to help me out here, lol… the ying yang I see India, I see meditation….did you ever painted anything about the Chakras?
I love this piece of art very much, well done

  • Tama Blough replied

There are a lot of stories about why Ganesh’s tusk is broken, from a mishap on the road, to it being used as a sacred instrument to write a sacred text. As with many myths and legends there is not one definitive one. I haven’t done a painting with the chakras – something to think about!
Glad you like the piece, Susanne!

Wonderful art Tama. Is this a Hindu image?

  • Tama Blough replied

Yes! I am not Hindu but am a fan of Ganesh, as are many non-Hindu people I know. He is the Remover of Obstacles, which we all need. He will also throw them in your path if he thinks you are going the wrong way. I became interested a number of years ago when a friend was telling me about a major miracle occurring involving several reports of Ganesh figures drinking milk. I looked him up and became an admirer.
