This is in the forests of Goldstream.
The trees are large and somehow homely as they are sure footed and proud.
Here you can not really capture & grasp the scale of this massive old growth tree. It’s basically 180 degrees from the forest floor to the canopy above, of which this tree sticks out beyond high above no doubt.
My Summer Vacation took me across from Victoria to Sooke. I checked out some of the areas in between as well so I called it Metchosin to Malahat, but I wasn’t even sure most of the time. Maybe the South End of Vancouver Island is a safer generalization for those areas.
