Profile
Hey everyone, I’m Natasha- I live in Brisbane, Australia but have spent the last two years living in London and travelling all around Europe, some of Africa and dabling here and there again in Asia. Travel is truly in my blood- living in a family where my Dad was in the airforce for ten years, I’m used to change and am passionate about experiencing new cultures and human and world affairs and meeting new people.
I have a particular fascination with international relations and how societal and cultural standards in less developed nations are directly related to weath distribution between the rich and poor . Consequently I truly love to photograph “real” people- to capture a side of their character that that shows more than a just a picture- but rather an untold story. I guess you could say I am not really a fan of being a tourist and am much more interested human affairs – so to get away from the big cities to meet the real people and experience their way of life – to me is just awesome!
I must admit though I’m quite new to this great photography game- But with my obsession with how people, society and culture shape the world we all live in- I came to realise that photography was the best way of capturing the true essence of that. I’ve only literally just decided to start taking a more seriously- So I am very open to any constructive feedback or advice anyone is willing to give!!! :)
Next year I’m climbing Mt. Kiliminjaro to fundraise for the rehabilitation of child soldiers in Central Africa- so so so pumped already- if you are interested pls do get in contact. I am also heading to Japan in July so I cannot wait for all the fantastic photo opportunities I will have! Other than that-back to reality, I’m in my final year of my undergraduate degree, looking at travelling more as soon as I am done and intending on starting my masters in International development and european relations after that! But Right now I’m just loving life, loving being in the sun again and loving having a good time so I can’t really complain.
