Just like his Dad
‘Oh! Doesn’t he look like his Dad’,
they said, peering over the crib,
Dad was proud, even when told,
‘He’s even got your nose.’
He burped and giggled and even whistled
as he learned to crawl, then walk.
He struggled through school
aspiring to be…
‘Just like his Dad.’
He developed in Faith, and found His way
as he grew tall and strong.
He loved and was loved by everyone
‘Just like his Dad.’
He sought his vocation in Church and School
and discovered his gift for teaching
He found his soulmate, set up home,
and now longs to be ‘Dad’
Along the years, so much was learned
The tables now are turned;
For the son now teaches his father,
like father did his son!
