Roses and Thorns.... by MaryLynn

I’ve been ‘scraped’ by these when getting too close…crazy sharp! This is the beginning of a bud from a rose bush in my yard – they’re referred to as “Knockout” roses – they produce so many little roses…can’t wait for a couple of weeks to see them!

Captured with a Nikon D5000 and a AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 85mm lens (no filters) and no Photoshop. As is…and hand held :)

I am an amateur photographer who has lived my entire life in the Midwestern United States – Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota and now Nebraska! I work full-time as a Marketing Director (analytical…not creative!) for Oriental Trading Company (a toys and novelty company) and find my camera a great place to ‘just hang’ when I’m not in the office or busy at home.

Enjoy – and feel free to leave a comment!!!
