Snow Bubble by MaryLynn

The little bubble…and the ‘world’ around it. Sometimes we forget what is going on in this world of ours….this made me think differently. There is so much beauty all around – we just need to see it sometimes to truly appreciate it! There is no doubt that my camera ‘sees’ these little things that I’ve been missing…and need to appreciate! So, I’ve seen some absolutely amazing captures of bubbles (on the ‘Bubble’!), so today I thought I’d give it a shot. I didn’t have much time, but I think I did alright. This was the best of about 15 shots that I took – and probably 100 bubbles…a bit of a windy day! :)

This capture was todays influence as the artist Lynn GIbbons told me to “do it”. Thanks Lynn!!!

This is taken in my back yard – with the bubble sitting on my mums, with a little snow too! Will try to do a similar capture when the mums are in bloom…several months from now!

February 27, 2011 Bellevue, Nebraska (temperature was a balmy 35 degrees!)

Captured with a Nikon D5000 and a AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 85mm lens (no filters) and no Photoshop. As is… :)

I am an amateur photographer who has lived my entire life in the Midwestern United States – Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota and now Nebraska! I work full-time as a Marketing Director (analytical…not creative!) for Oriental Trading Company (a toys and novelty company) and find my camera a great place to ‘just hang’ when I’m not in the office or busy at home.
