I am an emerging Aboriginal Artist (since 2004) who loves to paint and take photos of the world around me.
I live in rural Hawker, South Australia, and enjoy bush walking, painting, taking photos.
My goal and aspiration is to establish my own Art Studio within the Flinders Ranges.
Australian Aboriginal people have only begun to use Photography as an Art form since the 1980s.
I have only been using photography as an art form since 2004.
Some very prominent and world renowned Australian Aboriginal Photographers/Artist who have inspired me in developing my photography further as an art form are as follows:
Michael RILEY, Mervyn BISHOP, Destiny DEACON, Kevin GILBERT, Alana HARRIS, Ellen JOSE, Leah KING-SMITH, Ricky MAYNARD, Rea, Michael RILEY, Tracey MOFFATT to just to name a few.
Photography provides me with an opportunity to share my perception of the Australian landscape with others, especially the landscape of the Flinders Ranges, South Australia.
My perceptions have been enhanced through my cultural, physical, emotional and spiritual connection to the world around me and all that lie within it.
I hope you enjoy viewing them and becoming a part of my photographic perception of the world around me.
“The mountains, rivers, earth, grasses, trees, and forests are always emanating a subtle, precious light, day and night, always emanating a subtle, precious sound, demonstrating and expounding to all people the unsurpassed ultimate truth”
