The Tasmanian Devil is in danger of becoming extinct due to the rapid spreading of DFTD (Devil Facial Tumour Disease).

This image is also available as a print.

An amateur photographer in Western Australia, I love taking photos of the natural world.

A few years ago, I started a photography blog where I post some of my photos, as well as photography-related articles, reviews and tutorials on various topics.

great image, i hope they find a cure for the devils soon, before it is too late

  • Thanks ashroc. There are quite a few wildlife parks in Tassie and on mainland Australia that are trying to breed Tassie Devils in captivity, to ensure the species is preserved.

This particular one, a young female called Charlotte, was photographed at the Devils @ Cradle wildlife park, Cradle Mountain, Tasmania.
